Alexis is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with years of experience working with and advocating for children, adolescents, and adults. Whether it be fighting homelessness, physical and sexual abuse, mental illness, domestic violence, substance abuse, grief and loss, Alexis has a passion for helping the hurting.
Alexis graduated from Kennesaw State University (KSU) with her undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies. In 2011, Alexis went back to KSU and earned a graduate degree in socal work. She is licensed in the state of Georgia and working towards clinical licensure.
While interning at an inpatient rehab facility in Atlanta, GA, Alexis had the privilege of working with adults struggling with mental illness, substance abuse issues, and duo diagnoses. Not knowing that she would later go on to experience first hand the devastation of watching a loved one battle the disease that is addiction.
As a wife and mother of two boys, Alexis is particularly interested in telling the story of how addiction has effected her family. With love in her heart and hope in her mind, Alexis has made it her mission to let her story be a beacon of light for those in the dark. There will be sunshine after the storm.
“But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
